About Me
I am a logician specializing in modal logic, a branch of logic in which we study various modalities (instead of sentential connectives and quantifiers like in classical logic) such as “it is necessary that …”, “it is known/someone knows that …”, and “it is obligatory that …”. Within the broad realm of modal logic, I am particularly interested in epistemic and deontic logic. As far as I can see, there are still a series of unsolved problems in combining epistemic and deontic logic. They are not only of theoretical interest but also crucial for practical issues in legal AI. Aside from epistemic and deontic logic, I also worked on logic for social networks and computational argumentation.
I am currently a Ph.D. student at the computer science department of the University of Luxembourg. Before joining the University of Luxembourg, I got my Master’s degree in philosophy from Zhejiang University and my Bachelor’s degree in law from South China Normal University.
